MEET OUR MIDDLE SCHOOL STAFF

Mrs. Alyssa Schreur

Language Arts teacher

Picture
Hello! My name is Alyssa Schreur and I teach Middle School English Language Arts here at Randolph Christian. This is my third-year teaching at RCS. I graduated from Dordt University in the spring of 2020, where I majored in Elementary Education with a minor in K-12 TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language). My husband, Brandon, and I got married in July of 2020 and we are now living in Waupun. I grew up in Fox Lake and attended Central Wisconsin Christian, so I am thrilled to be back in the area and teaching in a Christian school! In my free time I enjoy gardening, baking/cooking, spending time outdoors, and of course, reading!

God called me into teaching in 1979. I taught in Iowa for four years before God led me to RCS in 1983. I graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA prepared to teach in secondary education. After teaching at RCS for a few years, I went back to school at the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh to obtain an elementary education license. It has been both a privilege and blessing to have worked with a couple of generations of families at RCS.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, following the Packers, Badgers, and Brewers as well as following the endeavors of my current and former students in athletics, drama, music, etc.. I also enjoy watching old movies and listening to music. I treasure the opportunity to worship at Alto Reformed Church.

I live on the family farm, which is a Century Farm having been in continuous operation by my family since 1899. Although I am no longer part of the farm operation, I enjoy the peace and beauty of country life. There are always deer, turkey and other species of birds, as well as other wildlife to watch. I love watching the different seasons of "my woods" and seeing the miracle of tiny seeds become bounteous crops. How great is our God!

Hi! My name is Sarah LeMahieu, and I am one of the middle school teachers here at Randolph Christian School. I grew up with my wonderful family in Sheboygan, Wisconsin where I attended Sheboygan Christian School. I graduated from Trinity Christian College in May of 2020 with a degree in Middle Grades & History Education. In my free time, I enjoy reading, researching, thrifting, and exploring new places.

My purpose as an educator is to show each student that they are made in the image of God and to help them achieve their highest potential. My goal is for every student to know my classroom is a safe place for them to grow, make mistakes, and just be themselves. I am so thankful to be a part of the Randolph Christian community!

Hello, my name is Lakeisha Heeringa. I have been employed at Randolph Christian School since 2018 and have been working with kids and teaching music since 2011. Music, writing, and learning are my passions. After being homeschooled, I attended Maranatha Baptist University for Piano Pedagogy. While I work at RCS part time, I also run a busy private music studio and am employed as a church musician at two area churches. I have been a member of the Beaver Dam Area Orchestra since 2007 and am currently the concertmaster.

At RCS, I work as a Middle School Instructional Aide, working one on one and in small groups with middle school students to help them meet their academic goals in math and writing. It is such a joy to watch students grow and overcome challenges, whether in the classroom or in the chaos of middle school life.
Since 2021, I have been leading Middle School Music/Choir. Sharing God’s gift of music with the students and seeing their appreciation of music grow is a real treat. The time in music class flies by as we learn everything from music history to theory to worldview in music to performance. My hope is that all my students learn to appreciate music and use it to bless others around them, whether in school or in the years to come.

Outside of my jobs and various responsibilities, I love spending time with my family, writing, reading, composing and arranging music, hiking, hunting and fishing, and enjoying the great outdoors.
