Hey friends,
Please read this letter from our Head of School, Mrs. Laura Westra!
Randolph Christian School

November 2022

In his speech to a group of college students, a pastor addressed his audience and gave them a charge saying, “Remember who you are and what you are called to.”  At Randolph Christian School, we believe it is imperative to our students’ spiritual growth and development to know who they are in Christ, and to represent Him well in this world.  It is also important for our children to know the God they serve.  This year our school theme is The Names of God.  The words name and nature are interchangeable, and when we study the names of God, we are studying His character and what He is like.  One of the names being studied this year by our students is Jehovah – Jireh.  Translated it means, “The Lord Will Provide.”  The Lord provides for our needs in many wonderful ways, but often He uses people to help meet those needs.  By donating to RCS’s Fall Fund Drive, you can help us meet some of our pressing needs.

The goal for our Fall Fund Drive this year is to raise $50,000.  We have two areas that we are focusing on:  1.) Creating a fund to replace our bus 2.) Remodels for our bathrooms and teachers’ lounge.  Currently, the bus we have is in poor condition and not reliable.  With cold winter weather soon approaching, it is extremely important that we have safe and dependable transportation for our students.  A new bus can cost anywhere between $90, 000 to $290,000!  A used bus, in good condition can cost up to $15, 000.  Though we’d love a new bus, we are actively looking for a used one in good condition.  Last year, part of the Fall Fund Drive was used to update the exterior of our school building. This year we hope to use some of the money raised to replace old sinks and tiles in our bathrooms, and spruce up our teachers’ lounge with new paint, furniture, and décor.  These interior improvements will not only benefit our students and staff, but will also help us accommodate visitors attending our games, other school events, and the one hundred plus teachers coming to the Spring Institute that we’ll be hosting in March of 2023.

Your generous contributions will help us continue to do the work God has called us to do at Randolph Christian School.  We serve an awesome God who is good and able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we DARE to ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).  That is the God we serve.  He hears.  He helps.   He provides.  He is Jehovah – Jireh.

Thank you for your support.  May God richly bless you.

Laura Westra, Head of School
on behalf of the RCS School Board

We are thankful for you! Whether you are a new friend to Randolph Christian or come from a family where
several generations have attended and/or supported Randolph Christian School your prayer and fiscal support is
appreciated. As we enter the Thanksgiving season, let it be a preview to the thankfulness we should have for the
Christmas season. In all seasons we are thankful for the opportunity to proclaim Christ’s story in all we teach and study.
You have the opportunity to answer the call to financially support RCS as we build Christ’s kingdom through Christian education. We had anticipated that this letter would go out shortly after we finished selling $45,000 of apple pies and we could say thank you to all who bought our world famous RCS Apple Pies. Instead, we get to say THANK YOU to the many donors who contributed to RCS’s “Apple Pie Filling” needs. As of this writing, many donors joined together to fill that gap! This shows the incredible generosity of our community!

Another part of our budget is the Annual Fund Drive. The Board and Finance Committee continually strive to keep tuition levels at a rate that keeps Christian education financially available to families. Donors like you are essential in the effort to bridge the gap between the cost of education and tuition revenue. This year our goal is $50,000. The money will help us get a new bus and help remodel our bathrooms and teacher's lounge.

I am pleased to give you the opportunity to join us in meeting educational needs at RCS through your contribution. As someone who is passionate about Christian education, will you support Randolph Christian School with your financial resources? Can you help achieve our God-sized goal of $50,000? Any amount is greatly appreciated and used to meet the educational needs of RCS students. The artwork of RCS elementary students is proudly displayed on this card and we have links to two recordings of these students sharing their thankfulness!. We asked our students to share their thoughts. They decided the theme should be Counting Blessings with Grateful Hearts. That is what we are doing today! Your financial support and your prayers make the difference!
We also want to invite others to experience an RCS education. There is no better way to understand what we are about than to experience it! On October 27, we will be hosting an Open House. Interested families and current families are welcome to join us.
As we enter this Thanksgiving and Christmas season, be assured that an education at Randolph Christian School emphasizes Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the reason we celebrate!

In His Service,
Randolph Christian School Board and all the RCS students
