Steve Katsma
Vice President

Where are you originally from?

I have been a life long resident of Randolph (other than two years that I lived in Beaver Dam as a child.
Family
I am married to my wife Donna, have two grown children, both married and four grandchildren.
Hobbies/Interests
Donna and I enjoy camping, by ourselves, with friends, grandchildren along with biking.
What is your relationship with RCS?
I am a graduate of RCS along with both of our children and Donna graduated from Waupun Christian School. I spent 20 years coaching at RCS in the girls program and enjoyed every minute of it.
What excites you about RCS?
I always believed that RCS was a great school, even as a student. As a parent raising kids, I saw the dedication and love of the teachers for the students and believed my children received a top rated education in a new way. Great teachers along with parental involvement make for prime educational opportunities.

What excites you about your role here?
I want to do my best to help RCS continue in its fine tradition of educating our youth in a Christ centered environment.

Amber Redeker
Treasurer

Where are you originally from?
Randolph-born and raised!
Family
My folks live across the street from us and my husband’s folks are a few miles away. Our siblings all live within a 30 minute or so drive away. We’ve been pretty blessed to have our family so close in proximity.
Hobbies/Interests
Having 4 young kids make up most of my free time! I enjoy reading books in my hammock, visiting Door County and snuggling with my four children. I love my work (I am a nurse) and am always learning more each day.
What is your relationship with RCS?
My husband and I both attended RCS, as did our siblings and parents.

What excites you about RCS and your role here?
The infinite possibilities that could be realized, God’s presence filled into every facet of the school day and being part of a school family is what gets me excited. To be honest, being chosen as a member of the board brought more apprehension than excitement. I know there are a lot of tough topics on the table and I do not take this role,  along with it’s responsibilities lightly. I truly believe there is always a compromise that can be made. We need to be fluid and adjust as needed. These past few weeks have been trying on students, teachers and parents alike. We each have our own barriers we are trying to overcome during this uncharted territory. By showing understanding, love and compassion to each other we can be role models to our children on how God directs and leads us during the scary parts of life.

Shanna Katze

Where are you originally from?
I was born and raised in the country on a hobby farm in Randolph, WI.

Family
My husband, Mitchell, was born and raised in the Friesland area and attended the Cambria-Friesland School System from 5K-high school.  He now owns and operates Katze Electric.  Our oldest son, Elliot, will be in 5K at RCS and is excited to eat lunch at school as well as ride the bus to AND from school this year.  His younger brother, Ivan, will join him at RCS in another year, so we’re looking forward to some quality bonding time until then.
Hobbies/Interests
I absolutely LOVE my profession as a hairstylist and own and operate Shanna Rose Salon, located in Beaver Dam.  In addition to my work, I also enjoy leading worship at our church, Emmuel Waupun.  Playing basketball and soccer are still great activities to enjoy when time allows.

What is your relationship with RCS?
I was a student at Randolph Christian from 5K-8th Grade.  My experience at RCS was incredibly faith-building and equipped me for both high school and life.  Sending my children to RCS was my plan since I was young, and God graciously allowed that goal to come to fruition.

What excites me about RCS and your role here?
One exciting requirement about RCS is the privilege of every family being involved in order to help RCS function smoothly and efficiently.  Being on the board has also been an unbelievable opportunity that I welcomed from day one.  It has opened my eyes to the incredibly dedicated staff RCS has been blessed with as well as the energy it requires for a school to function well.  This past year was a great example of the commitment it took working together during a time of transition.

When I’m passionate about something, I can’t help but shout it to the world!   So when the position on the promotion team became available, I was excited to join and begin sharing all the blessings here at RCS with other families looking for better educational opportunities as well.  Creatively spreading the word about how amazing RCS is comes naturally, and I’m grateful to use those gifts to further God’s kingdom!
