Where are you originally from?
I was born and raised in the country on a hobby farm in Randolph, WI.

Family
My husband, Mitchell, was born and raised in the Friesland area and attended the Cambria-Friesland School System from 5K-high school.  He now owns and operates Katze Electric.  Our oldest son, Elliot, will be in 5K at RCS and is excited to eat lunch at school as well as ride the bus to AND from school this year.  His younger brother, Ivan, will join him at RCS in another year, so we’re looking forward to some quality bonding time until then.
Hobbies/Interests
I absolutely LOVE my profession as a hairstylist and own and operate Shanna Rose Salon, located in Beaver Dam.  In addition to my work, I also enjoy leading worship at our church, Emmuel Waupun.  Playing basketball and soccer are still great activities to enjoy when time allows.

What is your relationship with RCS?
I was a student at Randolph Christian from 5K-8th Grade.  My experience at RCS was incredibly faith-building and equipped me for both high school and life.  Sending my children to RCS was my plan since I was young, and God graciously allowed that goal to come to fruition.

What excites me about RCS and your role here?
One exciting requirement about RCS is the privilege of every family being involved in order to help RCS function smoothly and efficiently.  Being on the board has also been an unbelievable opportunity that I welcomed from day one.  It has opened my eyes to the incredibly dedicated staff RCS has been blessed with as well as the energy it requires for a school to function well.  This past year was a great example of the commitment it took working together during a time of transition.

When I’m passionate about something, I can’t help but shout it to the world!   So when the position on the promotion team became available, I was excited to join and begin sharing all the blessings here at RCS with other families looking for better educational opportunities as well.  Creatively spreading the word about how amazing RCS is comes naturally, and I’m grateful to use those gifts to further God’s kingdom!

Our family loves being on the water during the summer. Fishing, kayaking, swimming in the lake or boating take up most weekends. During the winter, cuddling with with dogs and a book is my favorite thing to do with what little free time I have.

I am the Senior Pastor of New Life Fellowship; we rent the RCS gymnasium for our Sunday services. We have partnered with RCS on various projects, such as the Boots & Jackets Drive each Autumn. I have also tutored RCS middle-school students with their writing skills and have helped with such special events as being a judge for the RCS science fair, and, of course, help make apple pies!

What excited you about RCS and your role here?
It is rewarding to be part of a Christ-centered school with rigorous academic standards and a staff who care about the educational and religious well-being of their students.  As a former adjunct instructor at various colleges and universities, I bring a broader academic perspective to the RCS governing board.
