Fall, 2010...........

     How exciting to be back in school! There are 9 students this year in Third Grade.  We will be spending a great deal of our Bible lesson time in the book of Genesis. There are so many wonderful Bible stories to learn from, and an amazing God to see in action! Much of the Math time is reviewing our addition and subtraction, then moving on to measurements, graphs and charts, and later, multiplication. Each week in Spelling the students will receive their Spelling lists to review for their weekly tests or Spelling Bees. We will go through daily sentence structure to help us form proper sentences. Our Reading program involves a Practice workbook, along with a Grammar workbook to help us as we read several adventures in our Reading books. There will be several occasions to act out stories, to read additional books together, and to write our own stories. Our morning seems  to fly by with all the activities we'll be involved in. I also see the importance of each student having devotions. There will be times for each of the students to share in doing devotions for the class, and seeing how our Lord answers prayers. Our theme for the school body this year is to Clothe Yourself in Christ-like Character. Our chapel services will also remind us of the various character traits that we too can clothe ourselves in.
