Mrs. Char Vande Zande is the 4K teacher on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and the 2nd grade teacher every afternoon. She has been at RCS since 1995.   After college  she taught at Denver Christian School in Denver, Colorado;  Children's World Preschool in Sheldon, Iowa; and then took time off of teaching to raise their family.

 She and her husband, Pastor Cal, live in Waupun, Wisconsin,  where they serve Emmanuel Reformed Church. They have 4 grown children:  Brian, Jill, Sarah, and Laura.  Brian, a structural engineer, lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife,  Erin, who is a professional photographer.  Jill is a graduate of Western Theological Seminary and is the Director of Christian Education  at a church in Muskegon, Michigan.   Sarah is in her final year of medical school and is married to Marshall Stringfield, an industrial engineer.   Laura is pursuing a masters of counseling degree at Denver Theological Seminary.

Outside of school, Mrs. Vande Zande leads a junior high youth group at Emmanuel Reformed Church, is the director of Children and Worship,  and leads two ladies Bible Studies.   She enjoys spending time with her family, bicycling with her husband, and quilting.
