Fall, 2010

Our third/fourth grade afternoons together include 14 students, Mrs. Fox our aide, and myself.  The subjects we have together are social studies, science, physical education, art, computers, and handwriting.  Here is an overview of what we'll be covering...

Social Studies - We will start out studying communities, the early settlers of the U.S, and how they moved from place to place.  It's amazing to see how God put this country together over time.

Science - We study life cycles of plants and some animals, the sun, moon, and Earth, as well as matter, energy, and forces.  There are several activities we will be doing together.

Physical Education - Our main goal here is to learn how to work together and play well together.  God has given each of us many talents, and we'll work hard to do our best.

Art - Art is always fun and exciting.  We can look forward to the end of each week by having a project to work on.

Computers - Years before our parents ever did, we start keyboarding by learning where each letter is and which finger is used.  We also will have time to play games, which will help us to improve our computer knowledge.

Handwriting - For third grade only.  We will be working to continue our cursive handwriting to have nice, neat letters.
