Welcome 2nd graders and parents!  I will be teaching 2nd grade in the morning, which includes Bible, Math, and all the Language Art classes (reading, grammar, spelling, phonics). I team teach with Mrs. Vande Zande, who takes over in the afternoon.

Our theme for the 2nd grade classroom comes from Psalm 100: 3. 

      "Know that the Lord is God.  It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture."

Every Monday your child will be bringing home a newsletter, which will include the memory verse, spelling words, and what skills we will be taught for the week.  There will also be information about special events and/or reminders of things happening at school. Students will be reciting their memory verses and taking their spelling tests on Friday. 

Our prayer this year for each student is that they will understand that Jesus is their shepherd, and loves each of them for the unique person they are.  We covet your prayers as we get to know each other, grow together, and learn about God's world.
